Weddings who sits on the top table?

A wedding is an event to be remembered for a lifetime, so it’s essential when making plans that everything is arranged to function without a hitch on the day.

Want to know the seating arrangement for the bridal party?

The following bridal party top table seating arrangements may be used as a guide-line:

Strictly correct:

  • Bridegroom’s Parents
  • Best Man/Bride’s Maid
  • Bridegroom
  • Bride
  • Bride’s Maid/Best Man
  • Bride’s Parents

Traditional:

  • Bride’s Father
  • Bride’s Mother
  • Best Man
  • Bride
  • Bridegroom
  • Bride’s Maid
  • Bridegroom’s Father
  • Bridegroom’s Mother

At a formal reception, the most sensible solution is to have a bride’s table and a table for the parents.  The bride’s table, in addition to the bride and groom, is seated all the attendants, bridesmaids, best man and ushers.
